Sandwich Harbour Tours

The sandwich in the name refers to the striking meeting of the giant dunes of the Namib with the cold Atlantic at Sandwich Harbour. On this tour you’ll feel the sand slip under your boots, hear the sea crash, and climb dune ridges looking out to where dunes drop into sea-foam. Expect a full day (or half-day) 4×4 crossing the dune belt from the coast, exploring the lagoon, birds and seals at the estuary, and often a walk out to the boundary where desert meets ocean.

The attraction: the giant dunes, the hidden lagoon, Cape Cross seal colony nearby, the view of the vast Atlantic.
In short: this is for those who want the surreal and wild: sand, sea, solitude and a striking, different kind of coastline.
